Oh... great.

Who would have thought! My own Lydia and that lying Wickham. Well, I suppose there isn't much I can do now. None of my daughters listen to me much anymore. I believe that if they do get married it won't be such a bad thing, and Wickham may make a good addition to our family.

The Always Spiteful Miss Bingley

She's back. Miss Bingley has arrived at Pemberley with her family. It seems that this visit consists of nothing but rather rude comments from Bingley's sister. She seems to really enjoy putting down my Elizabeth. Of course, she is so strong willed. Bring it on!

Surprise, surprise!

Speak of the devil! Mr. Darcy has arrived at Pemberley! He appears to be preparing his home for guests. Might I conjecture the presence of the Bingley's? Oh it is too easy. His manners seem to have been very good, even towards Elizabeth. This could be another turning point for her feelings towards him.

New Opinions

On Lizzy's tour of Pemberley, she is surprised to hear certain things about Mr. Darcy that no one expected really. Apparently, he was an extremely kind child. In addition, his housekeeper has only nice things to say about him. This is news to us all I would say. I am sure that Elizabeth is starting to think a little bit more about being with this man.

Not Very Mature

Elizabeth is currently on a tour of the countryside with the Gardiners. I believe this to be a very good outing for her indeed. However, because her travels bring her close to Mr. Darcy's manor, she agrees to go on a tour of the estate. I would be proud of this, for it showed character to visit someone whom you do not exactly agree with, but the reason she is allowing this is simply because Mr. Darcy is believed to not be present. She should go whether he is there or not I believe, as to show some independence.

Typical

The last weeks here at Longbourn have been no more and no less than orthodox. Lydia still will not keep her mouth shut about going to Meryton to visit the officers. In addition, I am hearing nothing but talk of drama from the elder girls, talking about this man Wickham and how he is indeed a fraud. Then, the worst part is, my wife is still practically in tears about the loss of Mr. Bingley for Jane. I live with crybabies.

Teenage Girls These Days

Well, it looks like the regiment that my youngest girls obsess over is to go to Brighton for the summer. Normally I would not give a hoot; but now, Catherine and Lydia believe it is in our interest for follow them there. The summer months can be a bore, so there's a chance I would enjoy that. Nevertheless, I am not much into leaving  my home and doing anything exciting. Those silly girls will be on the subject forever.
